All Torrin Ivanov wanted was to get Jak Stowell back, that was supposed to be the hard part. In a cruel twist, Jak is hers again, but her girlfriend is literally losing her mind. The only help can be found on the last planet in the universe to which Torrin would like to return…To cure Jak, they must return to her war-ravaged home planet, Haefen.

For Jak, returning to her home planet gives her the chance to make good on a promise too long deferred. But will she be able to finally take out her brother’s killer? Or will she be pulled into the dark undertow of local politics…

The two women soon find that politics pale next to the threat of the one who still hunts Jak. This time he has bait—Torrin’s sister, Nat Ivanov. As their search intensifies, Torrin and Jak realize that despite all of the obstacles in their way, one thing is clear—they can at least depend on each other. But will that be enough?

Vortex of Crimson is the exciting conclusion to author Lise MacTague’s On Deception’s Edge series.

Vortex of Crimson edition by Lise MacTague Literature Fiction eBooks

I found this book also good, like it's predecessor, Heights of Green, and like it's predecessor, I had to skim read it to finish it. Once again, there's just too much description about everything, that the story started to drag. It got boring after a while and I just wanted it to end. The excessive description, I guess, filled in the pages for a rather simple story. The first of the trilogy, Depth of Blue, was by far the best of the books!

I'll definitely read more from this author, as I enjoy her mixing of genres - lesbian, sci fi, fantasy. I just hope that she adds more to her stories without the excessively tedious layers of unnecessary description!

I will rate it when the e book ever comes out
I've waited patiently for this one and it was so worth the wait. Excellent writing great ending and I fantastic to see what the author comes out with next.
This was a great conclusion to a series that kept me on the edge of my seat. I highly recommend!
This was the cherry on top for the series. Enjoyed all three books.
The fast pace and action worked for me and found it hard to put down. Recommend this the 3rd book of the trilogy of Deceptions Edge series by Lise MacTague. Like her writing and now follow her books.
I couldn't put this book down and as soon as I finished it I mourned the loss. The writing is fabulous. The characters have such depth and I cannot wait for book four. I know it's going to have something to do with the league. Just don't let it take as long as it has to produce this one but certainly it was more than worth the wait!
This is much better than the second novel. Only two small quibbles naming a character after a LOTR character is super distracting, and they military would never promote a deserter. The lack of accuracy for a military science fiction novel is distracting.
